MortaliTea Circle Collective
This Dying Matters Week (May 5-11th), we’re inviting people to host their own MortaliTea Circle—a gentle space to gather, share, and simply be heard.
You don’t need to be an expert, just someone willing to hold space. And you won’t be alone! From April 7-21st, I’ll be offering supportive guidance to help you feel confident in bringing people together for this important conversation.
What is a MortaliTea Circle?
- A small, intimate gathering where people can talk openly about death over a cup of tea.
- There’s no agenda, no advice—just listening and being heard.
- Anyone can host! No special training needed, just an open heart.
How it works:
- Join the support sessions (April 7-21st) – I’ll guide you through holding space, inviting people, and feeling confident in facilitating.
- Plan your own MortaliTea Circle for Dying Matters Week (May 5-11th).
- Share & invite your community! You’ll have 2 weeks to spread the word and bring people together.
Let’s normalise conversations about death and create meaningful connections in our communities—one cup of tea at a time.
Meet Your Host:
Rachael Carter is the founder of the end-of-life Soul Doulas™ programme, TEDx Speaker, Wellbeing & Spiritual Life Coach and experienced MortaliTea Circle Facilitator.
Rachael has supported hundreds of people of their dying journeys since Jan 2013, has held hundreds of conversations around death & dying during that time and is passionate about changing the way we talk about death & dying.
Being able to talk about death and hold compassionate space for others to talk about death, is truly freeing, actually increases general wellbeing - and guess what? It really isn't morbid!
