As a powerhouse in mental well-being, my career spans over two decades, with a rich background in healthcare that specialises in women's health and trauma survivors.
Through my diverse roles as an adjunct professor, humanitarian, author, life coach, and NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) Specialist, I have developed a profound understanding of mental health dynamics and an unwavering commitment to advancing mental health.
Elevating my expertise, I recently earned a professional certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) from Rice University. This qualification empowers me to integrate a holistic wellness approach into corporate engagements, fostering cultural growth and inclusion. Additionally, I am pursuing a prestigious 2-year Music Industry Professional Certificate from NYU Tisch, equipping me to expertly guide my creative clients through the complexities of the music industry.
My credentials from renowned institutions such as Renaissance Life Therapies and Harvard Business School further solidify my expertise. Extensive professional certifications, including those from the National Institute for Clinical Application of Behavioural Medicine and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Mental Health First Aid, reflect my dedication to the field. My involvement in initiatives like Question, Persuade & Refer, aimed at reducing suicidal behaviour, highlights my steadfast commitment to mental health advocacy.
My extraordinary contributions have garnered numerous accolades, including "2018 Best Business Influencer, "2022 Maternal Health Maverick", "2022 Best SEL Coach", and the prestigious "Women Leader of the Year" Honorary Award. The City of Long Beach Certificate of Recognition also recognizes my local impact.
Beyond my professional achievements, my passion extends to non-profit initiatives. I am the visionary behind Sacrit Devas, an organisation dedicated to empowering girls aged 11-19. My non-profit has expanded to oversee three all-girl schools in Uganda, Malawi, and Ghana, in addition to various programs across other African regions.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Serenity For Mothers, I lead a membership-based community that serves as a sanctuary for BIPOC mothers to rediscover themselves. Despite my demanding schedule, I volunteer as a NAMI Helpline Specialist, providing critical support, resource referrals, and assistance to individuals with mental health conditions, their families, caregivers, mental health providers, and the broader community.
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that self-care and self-awareness are essential to happiness and personal growth. When I am not revolutionising the mental health landscape, I enjoy hiking, meditation, and exploring new places with my family.
By blending my DEI certification with a holistic wellness approach, along with my upcoming Music Industry Professional Certificate, I am uniquely positioned to deliver unparalleled support and transformative growth for my clients, making an indelible impact on both the corporate and creative sectors.
